The game was originally planned for a release this year, but this announcement footage confirms that the game won't be coming until 2018.
We may see a few Playstation VR games, and there will likely be a bundle deal (with games and a camera) for those who haven't taken the plunge on Playstation VR.
All told, this looks like the most faithful Spider-Man game yet - even moreso than the brilliant Spider-Man 2 on the PS2 - although some more wise-cracks would be nice. There's also an outside chance we'll get a look at the delightfully wacky Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, which Ubisoft is working on in conjunction with Nintendo. It looked like every other garden variety Spidey game at first, but then we learned that Insomniac games, the team behind the creative and frantic Ratchet & Clank platformer series, were behind the wheel. But perhaps the most exciting rumour is that we'll actually get to see early gameplay of Red Dead Redemption 2. We're expecting some this year but it's unlikely to be bumper crop.
