Many people took to social media to express their disappointment and frustration with the news. The company's website said there are more than 800 stores offering Alfred Angelo merchandise. She said, "Keep your chin up".
Channel 9's Julie Salomone spoke to many brides who stopped by the store looking for answers. Customers are welcomed to visit any David's Bridal store with their original branded Alfred Angelo retail receipt on or before August 14, 2017 to receive these offers.
"She has paid them $2400", said Amy Burrell.
The manager at the Greece location says her store closed at 5 p.m Thursday.
The owners of Brides and Grooms in Pikesville said this is bad for business.
Another soon-to-be bride, Ericka Puccio, told Eyewitness News that she has two of her five bridesmaid dresses.
Some women said they received calls from the store while others found out on social media.
WZZM in Grand Rapids, MI, reported finding a sign on the door of the closed store there saying that brides and bridesmaids should send an email to an attorney at Stearns Weaver Miller law firm's office in Miami, FL. "Not sure if I'll get a refund or my dress still".
Angela McIntyre, owner of Elegant Expressions in Griffin, has carried the Alfred Angelo brand exclusively for 18 years.

Alfred Angelo representatives were not reachable for comment at either company headquarters or its customer-service line.
I Do, I Do Bridal in Gaithersburg, Maryland, said they heard all about this from a bride and their customers are also left in limbo. We have one [bridesmaid] dress.
"This is unbelievable", Pinilis said as she stood in front of the store Friday afternoon. But about a half-dozen other stores in the metro area that sell Alfred Angelo gowns were concerned about how they would manage outstanding orders.
However, it's not clear what will happen to ordered items that had not yet been delivered to the store.
