HTC is planning to introduce the all-new HTC U11 Life later this year. Now, a new report claims that the upcoming device's final name will be "HTC U11 Life' and will be a "mini" version of the U11 flagship".
The HTC U11 smartphone received positive feedback from users as well as critics post its launch but there were some features that were noticeably missing from the handset when it was made available in June.
The U11 Life was previously revealed in a report that detailed its specifications and had the code-name Ocean Life.
The HTC U11 Life will also sport the same Edge sense feature which the HTC U11 is quite popularly known for. Unfortunately, we have heard no word on the RAM capacity of the device. As you can see, it looks quite similar to the current offerings but should come in a much smaller form factor with a 5.2-inch Full HD display. The leaked image of the phone suggests that its frontside resembles with HTC U11 and HTC 10 from the previous year. Up front, it will have a 16MP camera which will have support for phase-detection and autofocus. Notably, rumors have it, just like the HTC U11, the HTC U11 Lite will also have the Edge Sense technology.
The device also equipped with 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.
On the optics front, the Ocean Life aka HTC U11 Lite is likely to feature a 16MP rear-facing main camera as well as a 16MP selfie camera on the front.
The HTC U11 Life is also said to arrive with IP67 water and dust resistance certification. If this is the case, there is a high possibility that the phone will not have a headphone jack and will instead rely on a USB Type C port for charging and audio output.
