After being available for pre-order for only a handful of weeks, the Motorola-made Moto Z2 Force and the 360-degree camera Moto Mod are now available for purchase in the US. The latest leak is in line with final rendered images put out by tipster Evan Blass last week. So the physical home button of the Moto X4 will double function as a fingerprint reader. At the top, there is one antenna band along with a microphone and SIM slot, while at the base, one will find a USB Type-C port along with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The current expected announcement date is the 24th of August with Motorola apparently scheduling an event in Sao Paulo Brazil. While the front camera will be of 5MP, and it will also feature f/1.7 aperture and LED flash.
The USP is said to be the dual-camera setup, which is said to come with a 12-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor. It will have a glossy back curved at the edges. It's the first time that we get to see the handset up close and learn about some of the features that haven't been leaked until now.
On the hardware front, the Moto X4 will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, however, a recent listing reveals that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor.
The memory aspect would be taken care of by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Rumours from around the web suggest the Moto X4 will sport a 5.2-inch full HD (1080x1920 pixels) AMOLED display. The device is expected to be backed by a 3800mAh battery and flaunt an IP68 certification. Also, worth mentioning is that both smartphones will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat right out of the box.
